Marabou Smelt
The Marabou Smelt is a fly pattern created by author Dick Stewart. This pattern can be found on page 107 of Trolling Flies for Trout & Salmon authored by Dick Stewart and Bob Leeman. http://amzn.to/2CxAXMN
The Marabou smelt is a baitfish imitation that has been effective for Maine's landlocked salmon and trout species. Tie this fly pattern in larger sizes (#4 and lager) for the traditional trolling method of fishing and use smaller sizes (#6-10) as casting flies.

Long story longer
The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
