Baitfishpatterns is the key for getting in touch with the big predators lurking in the water, but when tying big streamers you often end up with a heavy and compact fly. In this video Morten Valeur from Ahrex Hooks will demonstrate some techniques to aviod that, and show one of his favorite flies for his beloved big trout streamer fishing in northern Sweden. He says about the fly: " The RAW CF Baitfish is either tied on the TP610 for all my freshwaterfishing for big trouts, or if I fish saltwater I use the SA210 Bob Clouser Signature. The flies are weighted with the small bead from Pro Sportfisher called Pro Raw Weight that works as a bulp helping the lift of the wingmaterial, and due to the tungsten-material it really gets the fly down where the fish is lurking. The synthetic Craft Fur is beeing tied both normal and reversed for a "hollow" style, making it easy to tie a quite big fly, that is still able to cast and fish for a whole day - offcourse until a big trout disturbes the peace".
