Welcome to Scandinavian Seatrout Adventure.
In this episode, we’re winter sea trout fishing in Denmark, exploring the coastline of Fyn and Helnæs during extreme cold conditions.
Denmark has been hit by a severe cold spell, with ice-covered fishing spots and water temperatures as low as 1–2°C. Just before a snowstorm swept across the country, I managed to sneak in a winter fishing session to see if sea trout can still be caught in freezing conditions.
In this episode, you will learn:
Where to find sea trout in winter
How cold water temperatures affect sea trout behavior
What lures and techniques work best when the water is near freezing
How to approach coastal sea trout fishing in Scandinavia during winter
Even though it’s the first week of February, the question remains:
Is it possible to catch sea trout when the water temperature is only 1–2 degrees Celsius?
Let’s find out in today’s episode.
