Butano Perdigon Nymph

The Butano was introduced to me by my Spanish friend Luis Esteban Hernandez and has become one of my favorite nymphs over the last year and a half. It sinks like a stone and fools trout by the dozens. It is the perfect fly for on a Euro-nymphing rig and is quick and easy to tie.

Upside down...

Considering the jig will ride hook point upwards towards the sky, and wing cases on naturals are also on the top of the fly, why not paint the wing case on the other side of the bead? this will ride visually upside down in this orientation.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
