Please consider adding to your donor listing the Reel Recovery program. "The mission of Reel Recovery is to help men in the cancer recovery process by introducing them to the healing powers of the sport of fly-fishing, while providing a safe, supportive environment to explore their personal experiences of cancer with others who share their stories." I've acted as a Fishing Buddy and Retreat Coordinator for this fine organization several times and it's a worthy cause. Any assistance you can offer would be deeply appreciated.

Of course we can use the English name for the fish! This is an English language web site. And the Argentinean spelling is hopefully OK now. Nothing to make a big fuss about.

And what original name should we choose in stead? Even in Argentina this fish seems to have three different names. Take your pick: Trahira, Pira--n~aro or Tare hui? What should it be? Which is the most original?

And you of course never say Trucha, do you? Or even Trout, God forbid! The American brown trout is originally from Germany, so Bachforelle must be the right name!

I think the name Wolf Fish will do fine for now.

Why the "gringos" have habit of baptizing with other names the South American fish ? In South America and the world the tararira is named TARARIRA!! Because tararira is a singular fish that is only in South America!! Absurd!! Ridiculous!!

Darren: Great job putting the hook reference guide together. Thanks for adding the B-17 to your guide. In the picture you reference it as a VMC B-15, should that be corrected to B-17.

Loretta, the fly is beautiful. It is hard to believe you have only been tying for 3 years. I started tying mid Jan of 2008, so I just made the 4 year mark. The Cains River flies are stunning. I think you did a magnificent job on this fly. :-)

Thank you everyone for your kind comments. I had alot of fun learning how to tie these streamers during my Christmas break this year. I look forward to tying many more streamers as I now understand the attraction to tying these beautiful patterns.

Darren, I just turned up some hooks that I had given to me with some other stuff/ They are marked 222o but no manufacturer. Would you have a clue what they may be. They seem to be fairly modern as they resemble some of the later ones you have here

And yes, this is a Brassie! The article is about the Copper Joe, and this caption is definitely not right. My bad! Read the article and you will see Brassie mentioned several times - one place with the words "It becomes in effect a Brassie with a bead.". I have added that to the headline.
