The Biggest Rainbow Trout of My Life

No comments yet

I was a teenager when I first saw photographs of Jurassic Lake in a fishing magazine. Rainbow trout the size of a child, in a remote lake in Patagonian Argentina. It went straight to the top of the bucket list — and stayed there for thirty years.
This is that trip.
Four days at Lago Strobel; one of the most extraordinary rainbow trout fisheries on the planet. Wind, rain, heat, and conditions that kept us guessing every single day. From aggressive dry fly eats to technical sight nymphing on the Barrancoso River, this place demands everything you have and gives back more than you could possibly expect.
And on the final morning — the biggest rainbow trout of my life.
Some dreams are worth the wait.

Since you got this far …

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
