This is my tying of the super creative design for a dun using pretty much only cdc by the late great Oliver Edwards.
I don't know much about the story behind the fly or its history. It probably first appears in print with Oliver Edwards "Flytyer's Masterclass" which I believe was published in 1994.
Like so many great anglers of the time period CDC was "exploding" in its usage and with anglers creating many patterns. As with most, they fell in love with the material and it seems Mr. Edwards was among the fans.
The technique and concept of this pattern is really quite creative and ingenius so I had to tie it!
