Ancient Chattan Streamer Fly Pattern Recipe

Hook: Edgar Sealey & Sons 1762.B #2/0 7xl
Thread: Black 8/0
Body: Silver flat tinsel
Belly: Yellow then lavender then white bucktail (sparse)
Throat: Purple then white hackle fibers
Under-wing: 4 to 6 peacock herls
Wing: Yellow hackle flanked by Silver Dr. blue hackle flanked by Badger dyed red hackle
Eye: Jungle cock nail
Head: Black

Notes:

Larry has been tying a series of streamers based on tartans. (See Scott Murdock's Tartan Series also). The colors of the tartan appealed to him and so the fly was conceived. The clan was formed a confederation composed of the several clans. We will be showing more of Larry's Tartan Series streamers throughout the year.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
