In this video we will be tying the mini streamer, Gylfa Mýsla, named after Gylfi Kristjánsson, who was son of Kristján Gíslason. Remember flies like Krafla, Grýla, and so many more by Kristján Gíslason. His son, Gylfi Kristjánsson has many great flies like famous Krókurinn, Loðmundur, Beykir, Beygla and many more. The story with the name is to be found by listening to it in the video. However this fly Gylfa Mýsla is named by Jón Sigurðsson, and he got permission to name it after Gylfi by Gylfi's brother. Jón was fishing and wanted to tie the famous fly Mýsla by Gylfi. Jón didn't have the materials so he made this pink mini streamer and caught a lot on it. After that he decided to call the brother of Gylfi and get the permission to name the fly Gylfa Mýsla. The fly is a great option for both stream and lake fishing. The fly catches both brown trout and arctic char and even salmon. It's a simple pattern to tie and 1000% worth keeping a few in your box when you go fishing. It won't let you down.
