Hi,
Two days ago I found at GFF an article about making braided leaders. Once I felt all that knowledge pulsating inside my brain, I built the wood board, and started making my first "Furled Leader"...
After 24 hours of precise hand work, I'm proud to share with you my success!!
P.S. I'm writing a totorial, but, in the meanwhile, if someone needs advice, please tell me!
We are talking about serious leader making...
First of all, that is not a chain, it is the tippet, a light one, if we mind it is a metallic tippet.
I haven't made that leader with leather, so, if you see any leather strip it should be one of my fingers!!
The materials... You can find them all at GFF on-line store, just click the link:
www.gff.com/store/leaders/martindesign/braided/smallstream/lightandtiny…
I know you can't make a leader as strong as this one the first time, but if you are constant and really patient, the second time you'll try it you can do something similar!
Best!

Carlos,
Do I detect a bit of leather in there? Where did you get your materials. That would be a welcome addition to the article. What pound test is the chain?
