Global Flyfisher Summit 2007

The forums are very quiet

The Global FlyFisher forum has existed for almost as long as the site, and the oldest posts are more than 20 years old. Forums aren't what they used to be. Social media has taken over a lot of their roles, and the GFF form is very quiet ... to put it mildly.
We keep everything online for the sake of history, and preserve the posts for as long as possible, but as you will see, quite a few of them aren't in a good shape, but rely on old images hosted elsewhere, which are no longer available, odd codes from old systems and much more, which can't be shown in a decent way.
But the posts are here, and you can - if you insist - start new threads. But don't stay awake waiting for replies, because they are unfortunately few and far apart.

Greetings fly-fishers,

Spring seems to be here (or nearly), and fishing rods seem to be calling from the cupboard in the Study.

Are there any plans - or thoughts - for a GFF Summit for 2007? We had such a great time in 2006 that if there were dates published, we would probably sign up straight away, but I need to book it as holiday so the earlier the better!

Regards to all the GFF Summit 06 gang, and tight lines,

Les (and Nan)

Les,

you are not the only one looking for a GFF summit 2007. I am sure Martin is thinking of something...

Kasper, Les, Kai and many others who have inquired about a GFF Summit 2007.

Sure there will be one! Sure!

But as you can see from the very slow publishing frequence on the site right now, the missing cap shop and my lack of replies to your questions I'm extremely busy. For some reason all my customers can feel the upcoming season getting closer and know that I will be off more than omce a week as soon as the spring really starts. So they have all asked me to finish their projects - right now!

So even though I did think about a spring GFF Summit sometime in May, I'm afraid I won't find the time to plan and coordinate it.

I think a safer bet will be autumn again unless my workload drops a bit and opens the possibility of a late spring or early summer gettogether.

Martin,

Thankyou. Got to do the work, to pay for the fishing trips!
In your time, and no hastle from me. Autumn is fine, too.

Just don't work yourself to death, please.

Regards,
Les

Since you got this far …

The GFF money box

… I have a small favor to ask.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
