It's over!

The forums are very quiet

The Global FlyFisher forum has existed for almost as long as the site, and the oldest posts are more than 20 years old. Forums aren't what they used to be. Social media has taken over a lot of their roles, and the GFF form is very quiet ... to put it mildly.
We keep everything online for the sake of history, and preserve the posts for as long as possible, but as you will see, quite a few of them aren't in a good shape, but rely on old images hosted elsewhere, which are no longer available, odd codes from old systems and much more, which can't be shown in a decent way.
But the posts are here, and you can - if you insist - start new threads. But don't stay awake waiting for replies, because they are unfortunately few and far apart.

And it was great!

Thanks to everybody for participating and thanks for being nice and patient regarding practicalities. I'm sorry that you had to do your own lunch packs - I have let the hostel know that we were not happy with that.

Apart from minor glitches everything was smooth and nice and we caught fish as usual. Not all of us, but that's life when you're an angler.

I was quite pleased with the Friday, but others had luck both Saturday and Sunday.
I want to collect pictures from the trip and will send you all a mail regarding the process for that in a day or two.

Thanks Martin for getting the guys together again for another year. I did not manage to attend the first 2 days due to work, but i did manage to get there for some fishing on the sunday and caught 1 nice fish. I did not manage to meet everyone on the sunday I'm sorry to who i missed to say hi too.

Well hopefully we can get the dates early for next year so i can book this event to get time off well in adavance. Well i missed the Lithuania snaps/vodka this year, sorry Rolandis :P

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
