Martin's - Branchu
Forums:
I tied up last winter a few of the Branchu pattern Martin posted back in January 05.
link: http://www.globalflyfisher.com/patterns/branchu/
I finally tried it last weekend in the Quesnel River for Rainbow Trout. I used it on my 6wt rod with a type 6 full sink line, the river is up to 60 ft deep in the area I was fishing. The weather was a little against us with the barometer going up and down all day, but we did hit quite a few smaller rainbows up to the 14 inch range. The Branchu was the pattern I had the most success with that day. I knew this would be a good river pattern, but I was surprised just how well the rainbows took it. Thanx for the pattern Martin!!!!
