Seatrout in August

The forums are very quiet

The Global FlyFisher forum has existed for almost as long as the site, and the oldest posts are more than 20 years old. Forums aren't what they used to be. Social media has taken over a lot of their roles, and the GFF form is very quiet ... to put it mildly.
We keep everything online for the sake of history, and preserve the posts for as long as possible, but as you will see, quite a few of them aren't in a good shape, but rely on old images hosted elsewhere, which are no longer available, odd codes from old systems and much more, which can't be shown in a decent way.
But the posts are here, and you can - if you insist - start new threads. But don't stay awake waiting for replies, because they are unfortunately few and far apart.
Martin

Hello everyone and thank you Martin for the registration. My name is Marco and I'm from Italy. I will be in Billund with a friend flyfisherman and our families for a couple of days in august (23-25) mostly for a short vacation at Legoland with our families. Nevertheless knowing about seatrout fishing in the area whe have, under suggestion of a common friend that came to denmark in spring, made our fishing licence for Fyn and plan to spend some time there fishing. The suggestions received were to fish after sunset or before dawn (and this matches also the requirement of the family trip :) ).
So I am here on this forum for suggestions, tips or even company if someone of you guys wants to join on our first danish experience.
Thank you all

Marco

Marco,

Welcome to GFF!

It sounds like you have a good plane, and fishing at night is definitely the right plan this time of year. You will generally have to stick to pints and places with deeper water. The whole Lillebaelt area has a lot of places, which are suitable.

Make sure you take the wind into consideration, because you are fishing the ocean. and you don't want a head wind!

For Fyn you should check out the 117 Fine Fishing Spots, a booklet available in several languanges. It can be bought locally or ordered online.

This site http://www.seatrout.dk/ has a lot of info and links to these booklets, which you can buy here http://www.visitfyn.com/modules/eshop/?langcode=en

Hope this helps.

Since you got this far …

The GFF money box

… I have a small favor to ask.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
See more details about what you can do to help in this blog post.

The Global FlyFisher has recently been updated to a new publishing system, and there may be a few glitches while the last bits get fixed. If you meet anything that doesn't work, please let me know.
