GFF Newsletter: Discs and cones | Baltic flies for turbulent water

Summer has come and fishing might be a bit slow in some parts of the northern hemisphere while it's high season in other parts. Summer has traditionally also been a slow period here on the Global FlyFisher, and the number of visitors has always been lower in July and August. The publishing frequency has also gone down, and new articles have been few. Unfortunately this hasn't just been the case in the summer, but the site has been lagging for a while with fairly few new articles compared to earlier.
I hope to increase the frequency during the late summer months and I have a few articles from outside contributors, which I haven't had time to edit and publish, but will give some attention as soon as I get the time.
For now there's a couple of new pieces: the first article in a small series on Baltic sea trout flies for different conditions. This one is about flies for turbulent water. There's also a new article on cones and discs for tube flies in particular. The article tells the history of the cones, and goes through the many types and lists several sources.
Enjoy your summer.
