The construction and the rigging
The basic construction and rigging of the Flying Flash Carpet. The nylon arc holding the flash is tied to the lateral front tube. Eyes can also be glued to this tube. The fly is rigged as a tube fly. You pass the tippet through the lateral tube, then trough a similar extension tube and the tie it to the hook. When you pull the tippet, the fly and hook are pulled together.
Here the hook attached it a single, barbless, but a treble is shown as an alternative.
