Notes: This has long been one of my favorite Carrie Stevens flies. The earthy mix of olive and red really make for an interesting look. These colors when wet remind me of somewhat of the small creek, brook trout I encounter often, and I'm lead to believe the colors may have been chosen for that effect. Indian Rock is a spot at the confluence of the Rangeley and Kennebago Rivers and sits across (south) from the camp of the Oquossoc Angling Association on Mooselookmeguntic Lake. This spot is said to have produced large brook trout in excess of eight pounds.
