Notes: Bob and his wife Frances moved to the Sebago area in 1959 landing in North Windham. Bob was a Maine fishing guide and he also tied streamers for L.L. Bean. The Bibeau patterns have a tend to be lightly dressed with bucktail with only a few strands being tied in at a time. This makes for a more durable fly as it's less likely the hairs will pull out from the head of the fly. Many of the patterns include a red head, a nod to Frances' fiery red hair. Steve says that the sparseness of Bob Bibeau's patterns are ideal for the clear waters of Sebago Lake. Steve tied this one on the heavy side in order to photograph it and suggests it be tied sparser for fishing.
