Jim Malo Streamers
Jim Malo has a wonderful range of streamers, drawing his inspiration for patterns and names from local lakes and rivers. He's also known for creating streamers for the people in his life. Take Cale's Delight for instance, a streamer that was named for his grandson. Cale claimed the pattern as his favourite, and it also turns out to be a great trout fly for spring fishing.
Jim named the Wellington Wisdom streamer for the stream that was destroyed in the name of progress. When Route 395 was built, the Wellington was a casualty. Jim's Rangeley Revenge is a pattern Jim keeps on hand just in case. The Swift River Surprise lived up to it's name by effortlessly filling empty creels on it's namesake river in Massachusetts. Salmon Splendor has been a great streamer for coaxing in Maine's landlocked salmon and the Miramichi's sea run silvers.
Thanks Jim for sharing you collection.
