Free organizing

I don't know about you , but when I sit to tie some flies, I tie more than a dozen at a time. That means I have my materials ready, prepared and in a logical order for me to access as I assemble my flies.

However, creating piles of copper wire, small feathers, beads, biots and other tiny-small stuff leaves room for disaster. A quick sneeze or the breeze from a nearby open window can wreak havoc on the best of organized desktops. I've found that small soufflé cups or better yet, those paper protective glass covers found in finer hotels make for good desktop organizing of small stuff... even of finished flies. What's best of all is they are free!

So visit your local hotel, ask if they use them, then be nice and ask if they would mind giving you a few. It's worth the time!
