Wear your jacket right

If you wear a wading jacket, it might feel tempting to tuck it inside the waders to keep it under control, keep it dry or whatever.
But don't.
A wading jacket is supposed to be worn over the waders.

Put on a shirt, a fleece or what you prefer, don your waders and click the suspenders in, and then pull on your jacket.
Most wading jackets are deliberately made short, so that you can avoid dipping the lower part if you wade deep. Many also have a string in the waist, which you can tighten for a snug fit.
Worn on the outside, the jacket will keep out water - both from above and below - and it will help keep you dry if you tumble in the water.
And you will have access to all pockets, front and back.

Since you got this far …

The GFF money box

… I have a small favor to ask.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
