The garfish are here

Well, the header says it all. As usual in late April and early May, the Danish seas are invaded by garfish. i haven't had any myself, but I had a few very garfish like strikes this weekend - garfish are notoriously hard to hook on large hooks like sea trout flies or lures - and I know people who have caught their first garfish already.

Fjord fishing

Fjord fishing seem to be on a downhill slope. The fish caught in the fjords are few and fairly small. So it's the open coasts and as said before: it's early and late fishing. Remember it's light around 5 AM, so getting out at 8 won't catch you any fish.

Since you got this far …

The GFF money box

… I have a small favor to ask.

Long story short

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
