Earning my luck
The more I think the more I realize my luck
Well, not to rub it in guys, but I did fish this weekend (and last by the way). And I expect to go Wednesday and probably Saturday too...
Life is short and I don't want to wait for my turn to live.
I know that I really am very lucky in many respects. My kids are growing and gaining independence. 14 and 16 now they actually enjoy when we parents leave home.
My beloved wife accepts my hard core habit and even joins me on many of my outings - either fishing with me or snorkeling.
My work as a self employed consultant allows me the freedom to take a day off. On the other hand I work all kinds of strange hours and I'm never really off duty, It's past midnight (1:30 actually) here right now and I only just let go of the keyboard as Consulant Joergensen and took it up as Fly Fisher Martin. I'm back again tomorrow morning at 8 as Consultant Joergensen.
So I earn my fishing days by clocking some long days. Still I try not to work too much, but like Steve I have realized that it can be hard to avoid sometimes.

Since you got this far …
… I have a small favor to ask.
Long story short
Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.
Long story longer
The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
