In my blog post from earlier today, I expressed some uncertainty about the new magazine "Hatches". Luckily our blog gets read by the right people, and Will Mullis, one of the editors of the magazine, dropped me a mail, setting some things straight and explaining the setup of the publication:
I see there were a few facts that you didn't know about the magazine and I thought I would take the time to fill you in. The postage is included in the price of the magazine and at this time we are only planning on publishing one issue per year. We chose to focus on quality over quantity. If in the future we can publish a magazine of the same quality more frequently we will but at this time we are choosing to take our time, do it right and publish something our readers will enjoy. That is why we are only selling the premiere issue right now instead of offering subscriptions.
So it's only one issue per year. Bummer!
And the price if just 7 US$ for the magazine all included. Great!
Definitely worth checking out and supporting.
