Some friends and I are planning a trip for some pike fishing this year. I haven't caught a pike on a fly in three or four years (maybe more - time flies too fast these days). I can't wait. After a winter of tying up itty bitty trout flies, it will be fun to bang out a few monster pike flies. It will also give me a good excuse to dig out my dusty 8wt rod. Yeehaa!
