It works!
The Burning Man pattern actually does work. Soon to become a pattern article.
Just to prove myself right: the foam-and-rubber-thingy that I made the other day and called Burning Man can actually catch fish!
I had as many garfish follow and try to take as I wanted on a trip yesterday. They were the last guard of smaller fish, and only few of them could actually bite over the voluminous fly.
A single trout had no probems: it took with vigor in front of a bunch of garfish and was so surprised that it took off with my whole flyline before it stopped. Seeing the fish coming behind the fly before a take is a definite kick, and I'm gonna fish this fly a lot more this summer.
I will publish the details about this fun and simple fly ASAP on the site.

Since you got this far …
… I have a small favor to ask.
Long story short
Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.
Long story longer
The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
