Re: Winter waders
The case for neoprene
Neoprene still has a place in the cold weather angler's closet. Just not the stockingfoot variety.
Bootfoot neoprenes are still the wader of choice for steelhead anglers who don't spend a lot of time hopping from pool to pool. For those guys who stake out their spot and don't budge until the sun sets, they are better off encasing themselves in thick neoprene with heavy insulated boot feet.
Stockingfoot neoprenes are the VHS VCR of the angling world. You can still buy them - and cheaply at that - but their time has come and gone.

… I have a small favor to ask.
Long story short
Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.
Long story longer
The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
