Robert's Streamers
Robert's Biography
I'm a 55 year old fly tier who has been behind the vise since I was 12. I enjoy tying flies of all styles and most recently have been experimenting with wet flies. Both wet flies made popular by Ray Bergman/Don Bastian and the style of wet flies that are commonly fished in the UK. I do love Streamers for their beauty and there ability to catch fish. I don't have a favorite streamer and enjoy tying ones that challenge my skills. I have this obsession with fly tying material. I have more than I probable need but continue to buy more. I love unusual material and enjoy tying new patterns using what I buy. As much as I love fishing if I had to choose between fishing and fly tying I would choose tying.
I am on the pro-staff for Daiichi and Flymen Fishing Company. I am an instructor and on the Board of Directors for United Fly Tyers. I have been teaching fly tying for a group of adults for the past seven years. I tie at some of the local shows and hope to do more in the future.

Nice combination of colors and well tied. I am a big fan of Herb Welch's patterns. I think that it was look great on a B-17 hook and framed.
