Butt: Peacock herl
Rib: Oval silver tinsel
Body: Flat silver Mylar

Notes: The Parmachene Beau is an adaptation of the Parmachene Belle designed by Henry P. Well of Providence, Rhode Island. The defining difference between the two is in the body with the Beau featuring silver tinsel and the Belle dressed in yellow wool. There is a wet fly version of the Parmachene Beau and it should be noted that the body is dressed in pale yellow floss rather than the silver tinsel seen in the streamer. Because of the complexity of the pattern, it is often simplified to a hair wing, or the married elements are faked by placing a red strip over the center of a large white quill section. You may also see this listed under slightly different spellings such as "Parmachenie", "Parmechenee" or "Parmacheene". The name Parmachene was taken from the Parmacheene Lake and Parmacheene Club located in the Rangeley region of Maine.
