Hook: Gaelic Supreme Mike Martinek Rangeley Streamer hook 8xl
Thread: White flat waxed nylon
Tag: Flat silver tinsel
Tail: Rec hackle fibers
Body: Red floss
Rib: Flat silver tinsel
Belly: White bucktail
Throat: Red schlappen
Underwing: Red bucktail or Lady Amherst pheasant crest
Wing: 4 while hackles
Shoulder: Red hen back
Eye: Jungle cock
Head: Black with an orange band
Notes: The red streak effect in this pattern may be tied with either the preferred Lady Amherst pheasant crest if you have it, or a sparse dressing of bucktail dyed red. Carrie was also known to use goat hair in place of bucktail as she did not like the greasy feel of the deer that it can sometimes have. The streak is great for imitating an inured bait fish. It is also interesting to note that the Red Devil pattern was considered a variation of the Red Streak by Carrie, the patterns having the same body, but a different shoulder and wing construct.
