Originated by: Bill Chandler
Hook: Gaelic Supreme Mike Martinek Rangeley Streamer hook 8xl
Thread: Red
Body: Copper flat tinsel
Belly: White and orange mixed bucktail
Underwing: Peacock herl 4-6
Under-shoulder: Red and black schlappen fibers
Throat: Red and black schlappen fibers
Wing: Red hackle flanked by orange hackle
Shoulder: Red golden pheasant
Eyes: Jungle cock
Head: Red
Notes: You won't need to apply aloe to this rug burn, but any fish who tests the fiery streamer may find it ends up with a new piercing. The copper body melts into the warmly colored wing leaving just a spark of flash in the fly. The streamer takes advantage of the use of the under-shoulder element to help keep the wings on their respective sides and adds a little accent to the brightness of the wing.
