Notes: Scott created and named the Tanner's Special for his youngest child when he was born. In fact, Scott has done this for each of his three children to mark their arrivals. While of the streamers were wonderful tributes to his children, Tanner's just happened to be the only one that caught fish. What Scott was after was a fly to troll in the Aroostook River during the spring for brook trout. The streamer proved to be a fantastic lure for the Aroostook trout and also was revealed to be a wonderful choice for landlocked salmon in Maine's northern lakes. Over the last couple years, the streamer has been a staple in Scott's arsenal. It would be a rare occasion to find Scott trolling his home waters during the month of May with out the streamer tied on the end of one of his rods.
