Notes: The Big Hole demon was first tied in 1964 by rancher Nick Naranchi, of Twin Bridges, Montana. The fly was a proven success and quickly found a home in Dan Bailey's fly shop in Livingston, Montana. The fly was designed to fish Montana's Big Hole River but may sometimes be referred to as the Black Hole Demon. Cory has modified the original pattern by adding a set of grizzly and badger wings to the ensemble. The modification serves the pattern well and lends a convincing facade of a prey item to the fly when it is pulled through the water. Cory uses the fly on the west coast to chase steelhead and salmon.

Nice one. Probably more effective than the one yesterday, but loved the colors yesterday.
