#357 Mrs. Bushaw - Bill Chandler
Tied by: Bill Chandler
Originated by: Bill Chandler
Hook: Unknown
Thread: White 8/0
Tag: Silver flat tinsel
Body: Green silk
Rib: Gold flat tinsel
Belly: White bucktail
Throat: Red then black schlappen
Under-shoulder: Red then black schlappen
Wing: 2 claret hackles flanked by green hackle
Shoulder: Francolin feather
Cheek: Red broadbill feather or short red feather
Head: Black
Notes: Bill used a big unknown Allcock hook for this festive streamer. The claret and green mix to create magic in this pattern with rich deep colors. The two-dot francolin feather provides a bullseye for aggressive predators to hone in on. The red broadbill feather set agains the black base of the francolin ties the wing together perfectly. The Mrs. Bushaw is a chimerical pattern and would be a delight to troll behind a slow canoe on dark days in deep cold waters in hopes of raising great monsters.

Oh, I love it. The colors are magnificent. That black francolin really is a nice touch too.
