Notes: Kelly made this fly for her friend David to enjoy. She had promised him that one day she would make a streamer after him. Since Kelly was new to tying this feather-wing streamers, she wanted to wait until her skills had developed before tackling the streamer. But, when she heard that David was ill, Kelly decided to get busy on the design. Armed with David's favorite colors, green and blue, Kelly started playing with the pattern. She had hoped to to send the streamer to David in order to raise his spirits, but wasn't aware of just how ill he had become. Kelly tied up several copies of the pattern and sent off the best of her work to David. He did get to see the fly. I bet it put a smile on his face. David passed away on October 15th, 2012 less than a year after a cancer diagnosis. He is missed and fondly remembered as a dear friend and fellow tyer of long flies.

Just a quick note because the next one will be 365. I've followed along and looked at each and every one and I want to thank you for them all. I appreciate the beauty of each one and the talent that it takes to tie them. If you do another Streamers 365, I'll be here right along with each post.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
