Kayak recommendations???

Hi Guys, as written in the previous post, I'll be heading the danish way...and I am going to buy a kayak in the states before I move - BUT - what to get??
95% of my time in it will be along the inner danish shoreline - for starters around Falster and all the little islands in the southern part of Denmark. I also foresee a paddling trip to Aebeloe. To really mix it up, I also have a 4 year old son, that it could be fun to bring along on short nearshore trips - no need for extra gear on those occasions. He'll probably not be paddling, so I imagine having him sit between my legs...

I like the idea of a SOT 'yak, for the ease of getting on/off but am concerned with the amount of water sloshing over the boat...You guys know the typical inshore wave action...
So I am leaning towards a sit in type, have looked at the advanced elements expedition (13') but keep getting conflicting input on inflatables. I don't need the packability of an inflatable.

What are your thoughts on the issue??? :?:

Hi Ulrik, I have not used one...

Hi Ulrik, I have not used one of these, http://www.hobiecat.com/kayaking/models_outback.html
but I do know a few guys who swear by them, I have also seen a video of a guy having a tow off with an olympic kayaker and towing him backwards easily. Plus using you legs to "paddle" leaves your hands free to cast.
If getting wet is a problem then you could wear a pair of breathable waders.
All the best.
Mike.

Hi Guys, thanks, problem...

Hi Guys, thanks, problem solved though - ended up with this guy:
http://www.nativewatercraft.com/ult_14.cfm
the beast can be totally or partially covered for rough seas, AND the price was right...
Now - I just gotta find them mullets....and plant a "green avenger" in front of them..
