as always, it is delightful to see your flies and in this case this beautiful ( Jay ?) vise too. When I were a fish, your flies would surely be amongst only a few others on the top of my table.... :wink:

a sparse clump of any buggy looking phur will do... [in this case, the dark side of a buck tail... raccoon or whatever is handy]...
black bead eyez held on the burnt end of 30# mono and welded in place with Bug-Bond]
some moose mane to suggest buggy antennas...

a touch of additional palmered pheather to complete the insinuendo...

I hope to get a Damasteel jaw for my J vice this year.

I like the eyes on them. great idea, I will have to steal that idea with the bead and UV cured finish. I would think you did them yourself.

Thanks for the tying how to. I will have to try this pattern.
