Against All Odds

A crazy Atlantic salmon fight. A 30-lbs salmon runs into the rapids of The Byske River. Do you dare follow? The original fight goes on for 35 minutes in cold water through 1100yd of fierce rapids.

Normally I don't watch vids longer than 3 or 4 minutes about fishing, but this time every second was worth watching!
Great vid, great fishing and great editing!

Fredrik,

Sure it's Baltic... but the Baltic salmon happens to be Atlantic in the sense that the scientific name is Salmon salar, in English Atlantic salmon. Even the Atlantic salmon that swims up New Zealand and Chilean rivers is called Atlantic although most of them have never seen the Atlantic.

Blame science, not me ;-)

It's not Atlantic salmon,it's Baltic.
Byske is in the north of Sweden on the east coast. ;)

Since you got this far …

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
