Twohanded-tackle Question

The forums are very quiet

The Global FlyFisher forum has existed for almost as long as the site, and the oldest posts are more than 20 years old. Forums aren't what they used to be. Social media has taken over a lot of their roles, and the GFF form is very quiet ... to put it mildly.
We keep everything online for the sake of history, and preserve the posts for as long as possible, but as you will see, quite a few of them aren't in a good shape, but rely on old images hosted elsewhere, which are no longer available, odd codes from old systems and much more, which can't be shown in a decent way.
But the posts are here, and you can - if you insist - start new threads. But don't stay awake waiting for replies, because they are unfortunately few and far apart.

Hello!

Last Weekend I were quite lucky to be taught in twohanded casting by Andre Scholz.
Somehow I got addicted quite a bit! :D
The provided tackle for practise during these lessons were Winston Boron IIx Rods.
I felt very satisfied with the performance of these very lightweight and crisp casting rods.
Someone mentioned them as the actually best casting rods money can buy.

As you probably could imagine, I need a twohanded rod for further practise.
Do I really have to spend 880,- Euros for such a rod or what?
BTW: this is very much money for me, bit if it's worth it, I will try to get the money aside.

Does anybody in this forum know these rod too or can probably give some advice for other twohanded rod in, let's say: 13' #7-8 or 8-9 ?!?

Thanks in advance

Hi :)
I am interested in double hand rods too.
I have bought Vision 3Zone 14' #9-10 The price was very low,and I wanted to learn how to cast it very much,so now I have it :)
By the next season I hope I will buy reel and lines.
I was very happy when I first time casted double hand rod,and after some time I had a chance to bought something.
In summer one EFFA instructor learned me something,it was very interesting and also he said all me mistakes
I hope somebody will say something in this theme

The GFF money box

… I have a small favor to ask.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
See more details about what you can do to help in this blog post.

The Global FlyFisher has recently been updated to a new publishing system, and there may be a few glitches while the last bits get fixed. If you meet anything that doesn't work, please let me know.
