Merry Christmas

Sitting there with the smell of Christmas in the nose and Christmas music in the ears, Martin has been thinking back on the year that passed, and wishes to say Merry Christmas to all the GFF readers with a small gallery from the year that passed.

Sitting here with the smell of Christmas food in the nose and the sound of Christmas music in the ears, I have been thinking back on the year that passed, and wish to say Merry Christmas to all the GFF readers with a small gallery from 2007.

Having had the most dull and gray December I can remember I just wanted to reassure myself that the sun actually does shine sometimes and that fish can be caught.

When the spring is peaking, I try to go out as often as I can. It's just such a recharge after a long and often dark winter.

As summer gets closer, fishing early in the morning and into the dark becomes an option - and can be very productive.

Late summer and early autumn this year meant mullet and salmon for me. The mullets were few here, but we managed to hook many and land a few, and I returned to Iceland to fish for salmon.

But autum on the Danish coast reminds me why I love to fish here. The grass may seem greener on the other side of the hedge, but fishing back home sure is nice!

Since you got this far …

The GFF money box

… I have a small favor to ask.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
