Pretty in pink

We only had a few takes and caught nothing - but we had a wonderful sunrise, saw a seal and three porpoises hunting close to the beach. The best way to get away from stress and daily routine and do nothing else than relax. What a morning!

We decided to get up at 5 o'clock for an early morning of fishing.

We were at the water at around 6 o'clock after a small breakfast and a cup of coffee. There was almost no wind, gin clear water and temperatures like in the summer. Not the best conditions for fishing. We only had a few takes and caught nothing - but we had a wonderful sunrise, saw a seal and three porpoises hunting close to the beach.

The next day we started early again and had the same wonderful sunrise and similar conditions. Most of the time I was just sitting on the beach watching the scenery. Later on I saw a group of fish in the surface close to the point where we were standing. We were immediately electrified and in the water in no time. But with after the first cast there was a big hole in the water and all of the fish were gone.
Mullets!
And big ones, too!

We had another try a bit later, but the fish decided to stay out of reach in the deeper water.

Like the days before we also started the very early next day and fished a nice beach with fallen trees close to the water. We caught a nice 45 centimeter seatrout and another small one.
Again there were lots of fish but they denied taking anything we tied on the end of our leader.

After the morning's fishing it was time to clean the house, and then try a last hot spot. Because of the wind and waves we had much more action. We caught three small seatrout before it was time to say goodbye to the beaches of Denmark.
We had a bit too little fish action, but wonderful pictures in our minds and on our memory cards.

Since you got this far …

The GFF money box

… I have a small favor to ask.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
