Tarpon fly fishing

You need luck, a good guide and skills to catch a tarpon. We can't supply the luck. You'll have to go there to get a good guide. The skill... well, you'll have to hone that yourself. But a good fly pattern, that's something we can help with.

GFF partner Martin Joergensen took on the Mexican bonefish during a two week stay in Punta Allen north of Ascension Bay last winter. It wound up being a trip that was bumpy in more than one sense - both on and off the water. But with plenty bonefish.

I was never really taken by tarpon fishing. I've done it a few times and caught a few tarpon, but never felt the thrill that I see people get from fishing for these fish.
