Why the Klinkhåmer works so well

No comments yet

I met the Klinkhammer fly inventor Hans van Klinken while fly fishing in Kuhmo. He explains why Klinkhamer is so effective fly. The first class fish finder fly has many name variations like Klinkhåmer, Klinkhamer, Klinkhammer and Klinkhåmer Special. It is imitation of a caddis larvae, and the parachute lets the fly float visible while the fish see the fly in the surface film. That makes Klinkhamer so effective fly.

In this video you’ll see:
- Why Klinkhammer fly works so well
- How Hans van Klinken invented the Klinkhåmer Special and what makes Klinkhammer fly so effective
- First fly fishing trip of the season at Lentuankoski in Kuhmo, in Kainuu Finland

The video is part of my 10k Fly Fishing Experiment. I want to inspire you to get outside while teach you fly fishing beginner tips.

This is Episode 043 of 10K Fly Fishing Experiment.

Since you got this far …

The GFF money box

… I have a small favor to ask.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
