Black Zulu

Here we will be tying the famous wet fly Black Zulu. The Zulu flies are originally from the UK and they are among the very best wet fly patterns ever made in history of fly tying and fly fishing. They were designed for dam or reservoir fishing but they work great here in Iceland both in stream and lakes. The Black Zulu catches both brown trout and arctic char and it's so effective that it was banned back in some area in the UK back in the time just like the fly Alexandra. Simple to tie and totally worth keeping a few in your box when you go fishing. I use the Black Zulu quite a lot myself and I highly recommend to have this pattern in your arsenal.

Tail: Red wool (or red globrite).
Rib: Semperfli Mirror tinsel 0,2mm silver.
Body: Semperfli seals fur dubbing.
Palmering: Black rooster saddle.
Collar: Black hen.
Head: UV Solarez Bone Cure.
