Chris Helm is one of the world's premier capacities on tying with hair - especially deer hair. Chris has tied on numerous shows and classes all over the world and has taught people to tie deer hair flies both live, in books, and on videos.

I have always been fascinated by deer hair flies, especially muddlers, and my own big break through with these flies and deer hair came after tying with Chris Helm at an arrangment in Denmark. The material presented in his first article on this web site comes from that specific arrangement.
