Body: Purple floss

Belly: Yellow bucktail, white bucktail, two short golden pheasant crests

Underwing: A few strands of peacock herl covered with a long golden pheasant crest

Notes: This western developed streamer has a distinct eastern feel to it. Monte Smith developed the streamer and named it in honor of the Santiam River, one of Oregon's treasures. Rather than being thrown or trolled to Atlantic Salmon and Brook trout, this streamer was born to find the tug of the feisty steelhead and pacific salmon who migrate the Central Cascades in Oregon.
