Underwing: 4-6 peacock herls
Wing: 2 fluorescent red hackles flanked by royal blue hackle flanked by shorter yellow hackle
Shoulder: Light blue mallard flank
Eye: Jungle cock nail
Head: Black

Notes: Jim developed his Blue Magic streamer int he spring of 1994. He considers the pattern to be his best attractor pattern. The belly may be tied with either bucktail or marabou. This fly has been most productive in the fall months, tied in smaller sizes for brook trout.
