Tied by: Alan Gronbacher
Originated by: Keith Fulsher
Source: Thunder Creek Flies, Keith Fulsher with David Klausmeyer 2006, Pg. 33

Hook: Partridge CS5 #4
Thread: White 6/0
Flank: Pink bucktail and pink crystal flash
Back: Olive bucktail or the brown portion of a green dyed bucktail
Belly: White bucktail
Gill: Painted red
Eyes: Painted white with black dot
Head: Epoxy or uv set resin

Notes: Rainbow trout can be found in countless streams and rivers around the globe, and it's safe to say that a good portion of the eggs that hatch in these streams become nourishment for opportunistic predators. These fry and juvenile rainbow trout are often found in fast flowing waters and can be easy pickings for the larger residents and returning migratory fish which include larger class resident rainbow and migratory rainbow trout (steelhead). The pattern originally included a silver embossed tinsel body, but was eventually replaced with a few strands of pink crystal flash.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
