Hook: Mustad 3907A #2
Thread: Black 8/0
Body: Silver flat tinsel
Wing: White bucktail under turqoise bucktail under peacock herl
Eye: Jungle cock nail
Head: Black
Notes: This is a minimalistic, slender little, imitative minnow that Bill created for fishing during the autumn. The fly is a great smelt pattern and commands attention trout and salmon. In addition to the highly effective bucktail version of the pattern, Bill advocates tying the pattern using marabou in place of the bucktail. The pattern has been a productive fall fly for trout and salmon on Lake Champlain.

I love sparse flies,i am a firm believer in the less a fish sees of a fly the more effective it can be.The jungle cock nails just finnish it off perfectly.nice one Bill...
