Tied by: Glenn Peckel
Originated by: Ora Smith
Source: Trolling Flies for Trout and Salmon; Dick Stewart & Bob Leeman 1982 pg.83
Hook: Mustad 3665A
Body: Flat silver tinsel
Wing: Four pale grey saddle hackles
Throat: Fine white bucktail extending almost body length
Shoulder: Lightly marked mallard about 1/3 wing length
Eye: Painted black with white pupil
Head: White with a fluorescent red band at the rear
Notes: This is the last Ora Smith fly in the collection. I love the ringer for, well, the ring on the head. It's another simple (effective) casting streamer with a little quirk. Glenn has put together an amazing set of 12 Ora Smith streamers as his contribution to the Streamers 365 project. We will be auctioning them all together as a set near the end of the project.

Long story short
Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.
Long story longer
The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.

I don't know this pattern, but it looks like a goodie. Great looking tie!
